TRi/O featuring Steve Shapiro, Dave Anderson and Tyger MacNeal at Nod Hill Brewery

Electric mallet keyboards, live loops, and three players who have heard everything.

TRi/O is a groove based jazz and funk collaboration between veteran studio and touring musicians Steve Shapiro, Dave Anderson and Tyger MacNeal, whose credits run through Steely Dan, Ornette Coleman, Average White Band, Special EFX and Michael McDonald. The electric mallet keyboards and unusual instrumentation set the group apart, and their use of electronics and live loops creates a dynamic, layered sound that keeps pushing into new territory. Their 2020 release Try The Veal documents exactly that mix of improvisation, communication and groove.

Good to know. This is a ticketed show in the Backspace. Doors open half an hour before the music starts.
