Umpawaug Schoolhouse Open House
Historical

A one-room schoolhouse, unlocked for an afternoon.
The Redding Historical Society opens the Umpawaug Schoolhouse to visitors for three hours on a Sunday in November. The Society preserves several of the town's historic properties and runs its programs out of them, and these open houses are the straightforward way in: no lecture, no ticket queue, just the building itself with people around who know what you are looking at.
If you have driven past it and wondered, this is the afternoon to stop.
Good to know. The open house runs 1 to 4 pm. The Society's listing carries no further description, so what is on offer beyond access to the building is not spelled out.
Check before you go. The Society publishes neither a price nor a street address for the schoolhouse on this listing. Confirm both at reddinghistory.org or info@reddinghistory.org before setting out, and note that this one is not at the Society's main Lonetown Road site.
Where to go. The Umpawaug Schoolhouse, Redding.
