Unscripted: An Improv Group at The Granite
Workshop & Classes

Throw out the script and see what your instincts do with it.
Unscripted is a monthly improv workshop at The Granite, and despite the comedy framing it is pitched at anyone who wants to get better on their feet. Improv is performance built from loose scenarios with everything made up on the spot, the technique behind Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Curb Your Enthusiasm. The session hands out tips from an experienced actor, runs some basic acting drills, and lets anyone who wants to try the techniques against scenario prompts. No previous experience required, and sharpening public speaking is as valid a reason to come as sharpening acting.
Who runs it. Eileen O'Brien, a retired award-winning drama teacher and director from New Haven.
When it meets. The first Tuesday of the month, 11am to 12:30pm. The Granite has posted 3 November and 1 December so far.
Where to go. The Granite sits on North Main Street in the Georgetown corner of Redding, a short run for anyone in lower Fairfield County.
