Upcycling Jewelry: From Broken to Beautiful
Workshop & Classes

Everyone has a drawer with a tangle of costume jewellery in it — broken clasps, single earrings, a piece that meant something once. This is what that drawer is for.
A hands-on workshop at the Danbury Library where you bring sentimental, broken or dated costume jewellery and either repair it or rebuild it into something wearable. The instructor brings a spread of vintage and costume pieces to work from as well, so nobody runs short of material. Every participant takes home a beading board to keep going afterwards.
Good to know. Free, recommended for ages 12 and up. Part of the Danbury Library’s Sustainable Living Initiative, which is the point as much as the jewellery is. Questions go to Julia Dennen, Innovation and Sustainability Librarian, at 203-797-4505 ext. 7747.
Where to go. The Farioly Program Room, Danbury Public Library, 170 Main Street.
