Ridgefield Then and Now, Part II
Historical

How much of Ridgefield has really changed in 150 years, and how much only looks as though it has?
Town historian Jack Sanders takes that question to the Ridgefield History Club in an illustrated talk that sets historic views of the town beside modern ones. The program image gives you the shape of it: Main Street around 1910 on top, the same view in 2026 underneath.
The History Club is the Historical Society's informal community storytelling program. It meets for an hour on the third Tuesday of every month to work through one topic in Ridgefield's history by conversation rather than lecture. Every session is recorded and cataloged in the Society's archive so the stories survive, streamed live on Facebook, and posted afterward to the Society's YouTube channel. Some people come every month and others turn up only when a topic means something to them, and longtime residents and brand new arrivals are equally welcome.
Good to know. The program is free, but parking and seating at the Scott House are both limited, so registration is requested. For details, call 203-438-5821 or email info@ridgefieldhistoricalsociety.org.
Where to go. The Ridgefield Historical Society's Scott House, 4 Sunset Lane, Ridgefield.
