Amélie: Senior Citizen Preview

One performance, the Thursday before opening night, and it is the whole show.

Brookfield Theatre gives each mainstage production a senior citizen preview on the Thursday before it opens, and this is Amélie's. The musical of the Jean-Pierre Jeunet film follows a young woman who lives quietly in the world and very loudly inside her own head, improvising small and surprising acts of kindness on everyone around her, until a chance at love means she has to risk saying what she actually feels out loud.

Book by Craig Lucas, music by Daniel Messé, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and Daniel Messé. Directed by Matt Austin and Jessica Chesbro, with musical direction by Sarah Fay and choreography by Jessica Chesbro.

Before you go. The theatre announces this preview as a single line on its season page. It publishes no price for it and no online booking route, and it does not appear on Ludus at all, so call the box office on 203-775-0023 or email BrookfieldTheatreCT@gmail.com.

The main run is listed separately. Amélie plays Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm from 13 November through 5 December, straight through Thanksgiving weekend.

Where to go. The theatre is at 184 Whisconier Road in Brookfield.
