Author Talk with Ruchin Kansal
Talk Series

Competence gets you in the door. It rarely carries you forward.
Ruchin Kansal co-wrote Work Signals: An Insider's Guide to Winning When Talent Is Not Enough, and he is at the library for a talk and a book signing. His argument is that most professionals spend two thirds of their lives inside organizations without ever being taught the rules those organizations actually run on, and that the gap between the value people create and the value organizations recognize can be closed without becoming performative. Drawing on organizational psychology and decades inside Deloitte, Siemens Healthineers, Boehringer Ingelheim, Mercer and a venture backed AI startup, he and his co-author give readers a repeatable framework, reflective questions, tools and case studies meant to be usable the same week you read them. At 134 pages the book is deliberately short enough to finish in a sitting.
Who it is for. People who work hard and feel stuck, students about to enter the game, middle managers who want more clarity, and senior leaders trying to build places where good work does not go unseen.
Good to know. Free, in the Meeting Room, 2:00pm to 4:00pm, with a signing.
