Candle Making Workshop

Three hours, a tray of fragrances, and a candle that is yours at the end of it.

Charbel Khalil runs this as a start-to-finish introduction in the library's makerspace: preparing the wax, choosing a fragrance, adding color, and pouring into molds. There is room to experiment with different scents, styles and mold shapes rather than everyone producing the same object.

It is built for beginners, so no previous experience is assumed, and all materials and supplies are provided. You take the candle home.

Good to know. Free, registration required, for teens and adults.

Where to go. The chbMAKERS' Corner at the library, 25 Main Street, Newtown.
