Coexisting with Coyotes

Few animals in North America are as disliked, or as misunderstood, as the coyote.

Dana Goin of the Wolf Conservation Center joins Wilton Library on Zoom to make the other case: that the eastern coyote is a genuine ecological asset and a fair candidate for the continent's mascot of resilience. She covers where the eastern coyote came from, how it actually behaves, and the practical business of living alongside one without either party coming to grief. Goin is Program Coordinator and Wildlife Educator at the Center in South Salem, New York, holds a degree in wildlife conservation, and has studied mountain lions, coyotes, bobcats and raccoons in the field around the country.
