Cooking the Books: A Cookbook Club

The only book club where you have to do the homework twice: read it, then cook it.

Cooking the Books is the C.H. Booth Library's cookbook club, built for people who love reading and food in roughly equal measure. The format is simple and demanding in the best way. Register, collect a copy of the featured cookbook from behind the second-floor service desk, pick a recipe and email your choice to smerrill@chboothlibrary.org so nobody doubles up, then turn up on the night with the finished dish for a potluck and a discussion.

When it meets. The first Monday of the month, 6pm to 7pm. The library has posted December 7 and January 4 so far; the November 2 session has been and gone.

Good to know. Free, and registration is required so the library knows what is coming. The club has been running full, so it is worth registering early.
