Copper Coffee Spoon
Workshop & Classes

A spoon is deceptively hard: it curves in two directions at once and every hammer mark shows.
This one-day workshop teaches sheet metal work through making stylised copper spoons. Students start with simple paper patterns for layout and design, then move to the copper itself, using forming and planishing techniques and finishing with hand-applied tinning. It is a genuine introduction to raising metal, disguised as a small object.
Good to know. $135 for the day, in the jewelry studio at 286 Whisconier Road. Prices and openings change, so check the registration page before you plan around it.
Please check with the organizer if the event date, time or offer has changed.** LTO
