Curtain Callers Book Group
Talk Series

Read the play, then read it out loud with other people.
Every month the group reads a new play, meets to discuss it, and reads key scenes aloud together, which makes it as much for thespians as for bookworms. November is A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen, set in a Norwegian town around 1879, about a married woman who had almost no room for self-fulfillment in a male dominated world. Ibsen denied that he set out to write a feminist play. It caused a sensation anyway.
Where it meets. This group meets at the Brookfield Theatre rather than at the library.
