Dearest Friend: A Newtown Historical Society Program

A long marriage, conducted largely on paper.

A talk on the letters John and Abigail Adams wrote to each other over the course of a life together, with the letters themselves read aloud by Ron Dukensky and Carol Burgess. The correspondence is one of the richest records of the early republic precisely because it was never meant to be a record of anything. Presented by the Newtown Historical Society.
