Three wins at Tribeca, then the John Cassavetes Award.

Bebo is a teenager in a coastal Puerto Rican town, living with his brother in a public housing complex. They fish for a living until desperation pushes them towards easy money, and when a job goes wrong and blood is spilled Bebo runs, with Lola, a wealthy girl escaping a life of her own. The mountains they cross hold the remnants of a fading way of life, set against the violence closing in behind them.

The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and took Best Cinematography, Best New Director and the Jury Award. In 2026 it was nominated at the Spirit Awards and won the John Cassavetes Award, settling its place as one of the most celebrated Puerto Rican films made.
