Fact Not Fiction Book Club: Wintering
Talk Series

A book about the fallow stretches, discussed in the darkest week of the year.
The library's nonfiction book club takes Katherine May's Wintering, the New York Times bestseller about what to do when life knocks you sideways and ordinary momentum stops: an illness, a bereavement, the end of a relationship, a job gone. May treats those stretches as a season rather than a failure, and the book has been praised by Elizabeth Gilbert and Krista Tippett among others, with the Wall Street Journal picking out its steady, accurate language about resting landscapes.
May is also the author of Enchantment, and has Tending: How Care Binds the World on the way.
Good to know. Registration is required and opens on November 19.
