Glow: Handbuilding Ceramic Lamp

Build a one of a kind ceramic lamp by hand over four Saturday afternoons in the Clay Studio. Using handbuilding techniques you design and construct a functional lamp base from clay, working through form, surface, texture and pattern until the piece reflects your own style. It can be sculptural, playful, organic or clean and modern; the design is entirely yours. No wheel experience is needed, though a little familiarity with clay helps. Electrical hardware is included and you learn to assemble and install it, so the lamp is fully working by the end of the course. Lampshades are not included and need to be bought separately.
