Ghosts & Spirits at the Mansion
Arts & Culture

The butler meets you in the Entrance Hall. After that it gets stranger.
The museum and ArtSynergy Productions have built an immersive theatrical tour through the Mansion, drawing on Victorian Spiritualism, Gothic literature and the house's own ghost stories. You are received by Florence Mathews for an intimate evening salon on Spiritualism, then move room by room through scenes about grief, obsession, madness, guilt, memory and what may or may not be there. It ends in the Billiards Room with refreshments, which by then you will want.
Tours leave every twenty minutes. Nine slots each evening, from 6:00 through to 8:40. Pick your time when you book rather than turning up.
Good to know. Recommended for adults and children aged twelve and over, and every child must be with an adult. Tickets are on the museum's Eventbrite page, and with slots this small they are worth booking early.
Where to go. Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, 295 West Avenue in Norwalk. It runs three evenings, 22, 23 and 24 October.
