Glass Open Studio: Sunday Four-Hour Session

Four hours is long enough to finish something.

Brookfield Craft Center has added a Sunday daytime Open Studio in the Glass Studio, running 10am to 2pm. It is the same arrangement as the Monday evening session - the torches, kilns and ventilation are up and running and you work independently on your own projects - but at four hours it gives you roughly twice the bench time, which matters when a piece needs to be worked through in one sitting rather than packed away half done.

Who can book. Open Studio is limited to people who have taken a class at Brookfield in the last 18 months, or to members who have reached a level where they can work independently. Sessions are bought online in advance to reserve a spot.

The dates. Sundays from 25 October through 29 November, 10am to 2pm, with Cecilia Rodrigues on hand.

What it costs. $39 per session. Prices and openings change, so check the registration page before you plan around it.
