Grateful Gatherings: Seek and Share Wisdom

Owl in Winnie-the-Pooh has not exactly got Brain. He does, however, know things.

Grateful Gatherings at the C.H. Booth Library runs on guided reflections, interactive discussion and small practices designed to produce some joy and a sense of appreciation. This month takes wisdom as its subject, starting from the observation that wisdom is not really a matter of how much you know: it is shaped by curiosity, listening, lived experience, humility, wonder and discernment. The evening looks at where we go looking for it, in ourselves and in the people and stories that shaped us, and then at the harder question of what wisdom you have accumulated that is waiting to be handed on.
