Hear Me Out: Storytelling Series

True stories, told out loud by the people they actually happened to.

Hear Me Out is the Ridgefield Theater Barn's storytelling series, back for the 2026 to 2027 season with two evenings of real stories shared live on stage. Host Peter Bachmann invites storytellers up to tell something that genuinely happened to them, funny or moving or surprising or thoroughly uncomfortable, and usually more than one of those at once. Each evening is built with a community partner organization, which is how the series keeps gathering voices and experiences that would not otherwise end up in the same room. The Barn pitches it as a celebration of the art of listening as much as the art of telling, and that is a fair description of what the night actually feels like.

Good to know. This is the first of the season's two evenings. The second falls on May 9, 2027.

Make a night of it. The Barn seats cabaret style at candlelit tables and you are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Snacks and drinks are on sale in the lobby as well.
