Introduction to Sublimation: Slates

Sublimation sounds like chemistry homework. It is heat, pressure, and an image that will not come off.

Charbel Khalil explains how a design is transferred onto a specially coated surface using heat and pressure, and then everyone personalizes a slate and runs it through the process from start to finish. Watching the transfer happen is the part that makes the method click.

It is a beginner session and a useful first look at creative digital fabrication, whether or not you ever buy the kit yourself. All materials and equipment are provided and the slate is yours.
