Knitting and Crocheting

There is something about a room full of people working with their hands that makes conversation easy.

Every Tuesday morning the Bethel Public Library opens the Seelye Local History Room to knitters and crocheters at every skill level. Bring whatever project is currently living in your tote bag — the scarf you started last winter, a baby blanket on a deadline, the sweater you have been quietly avoiding — and settle in for ninety minutes of stitching and company. Beginners are welcome too, and there is almost always someone nearby who can rescue a dropped stitch.

Good to know. No registration needed. Just walk in with your project.

Make a morning of it. Greenwood Avenue is right outside the door, so a coffee before or lunch downtown after is an easy add.
