Music for Youth Emerging Artists Concert

Three musicians, an hour, and the Brubeck Room.

Violinist Julia Hwang, cellist Robin Park and Emerging Artist Giora Nadav play solos, duets and Dvorak's Dumky Piano Trio in E minor. Each of them introduces their own pieces and talks about them along the way, which is the point of the format: it is close up and conversational rather than formal, and you end up hearing why the players chose what they chose.

Hwang gave her professional solo debut at nine, playing Bach's Concerto in A minor with the English National Baroque Chamber Orchestra, and Gramophone has praised her for a model of expressive purity. Since her Wigmore Hall debut she has given recitals at St Martin in the Fields and the Royal Albert Hall, and played the Bruch, Korngold and Mendelssohn concertos in the UK and South Korea.
