Open Play Game Room: Mah Jongg, Canasta and More

Mah Jongg teams form at one o'clock sharp. After that the afternoon belongs to whoever walks in.

Wilton Library turns a room over to open game play every Monday: Mah Jongg, Canasta, chess, backgammon and a shelf of card and board games from the library's own collection. The library provides two standard American Mah Jongg sets, though you need to bring your own 2026 National Mah Jongg League card. Bring your own sets and games too if you would rather. It is built for socialising as much as playing, and new faces are the point.

Good to know. Free, no registration at all, first come first served. There is no instruction on offer, so Mah Jongg players need a little experience already.

One Monday off. There is no session on October 12, when the library is closed for the holiday.

Where to go. Wilton Library at 137 Old Ridgefield Road, in Wilton Center.
