Paproski's Corn Maze At Castle Hill Farm

Get lost on purpose.

Castle Hill Farm cuts a completely different design into its seven acre corn field every season and hands you a map on the way in. The map also marks thirty numbered game signs scattered through the rows, each with its own themed instruction, and they double as a way to work out roughly where you are once the corn starts looking identical in every direction. Find all thirty and the walk runs about an hour to an hour and a half. Halfway round there is a wagon observation deck to climb for a look out over the tops of the corn at the rest of the farm, and beside it an American flag marker and an emergency exit for anyone who has had enough.

What your ticket covers. Admission to the maze is $15.00, and children 3 and under are free.

Make a day of it. Hayrides run Saturdays and Sundays during open hours, about twenty minutes out through the fields with a stop to feed the cows out of your hand while the tractor driver talks you through the herd, at $7.00 with lap riders 2 and under free. The pick your own pumpkin patch has more than forty varieties of pumpkins and gourds at $0.79 a pound, or $0.89 for the specialty ones.

Good to know. Dogs and pets are not permitted anywhere on the farm during October.
