Raku Firing Workshop

Raku is the firing where you pull the piece out glowing and the surface decides the rest.

Participants bring their own bisque ware and glaze it in the studio on the day, then take part in the firing itself — fast, dramatic and nothing like a normal kiln cycle. The results are why people keep coming back: crackle, metallic lustre and smoke-blackened clay, and no two pieces the same.

Good to know. Bring bisque ware; glaze is supplied. $90 for the session, in the Ceramic Studio at 290 Whisconier Road. Prices and openings change, so check the registration page before you plan around it.
