Redefining Success: The Post-High School Journey

Students have long been told that a four year degree is the only road to a successful career. This panel brings together local professionals, business owners and skilled trades leaders who took a different route and built rewarding careers without heavy student debt. Wilton Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin Smith moderates. The conversation covers job satisfaction in hands on and self directed work, how the trades, military service, hospitality and entrepreneurship let people earn sooner and borrow less, and the actual steps local entrepreneurs, veterans and tradespeople took straight out of high school. Open to teens and adults, in the Brubeck Room. Registration is required and closes at 4:30pm that day.
