Remember Warsaw

Three young people in Warsaw between 1939 and 1943, and the decision none of them should have had to make.

Remember Warsaw follows Rachael and her brother Aaron, who must choose between staying with their family through the Holocaust and running for freedom with the help of her lover Joshua. The music is by Roger Ames, who died in 2022, and the libretto by Bernard Kaplan of Sherman, Connecticut and Queens, New York. The performance at the heart of the evening was conducted by Matthew Mehaffey of the University of Minnesota with the Minnesota Oratorio Society.
