RSO in Concert: Dance

An afternoon where the whole programme is built on movement.

The orchestra puts together a Latin American spine and a Spanish-flavoured European frame: Gottschalk's Night in the Tropics, Carlos Chávez's Sinfonia India, Gabriela Ortiz's TZAM, then Ravel's Rhapsodie espagnole and Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio espagnol. Ortiz is one of the most performed living composers in the Americas, and hearing her alongside Chávez makes the through-line obvious.

Good to know. A three o'clock Sunday start, which makes it the easiest concert of the season to bring someone to. Tickets $12.50 to $65.00 including fees.

Where to go. In Wilton rather than Ridgefield: the David F. Clune Auditorium at Wilton High School, 395 Danbury Road.
