Scratch

Notch 8 bills them as Connecticut's top party band, and the bar books them often enough that you can take the claim seriously.

Scratch are the house favorite here, the act that turns up for Halloween and Thanksgiving Eve as well as ordinary Fridays, which is the clearest signal a bar can give about a band.

Good to know. Music from 9pm. Notch 8 does not list a cover for this night, so ask at the door.

Where to go. Notch 8 Bar, 5 Depot Place in Bethel, a short walk from the train station.
