Self-Defense and Awareness Class

The first half of self-defence is never needing it. That is where this class starts.

Sensei Frank Shekosky teaches protective habits for spotting and stepping around a confrontation before it becomes one, then moves on to practical technique for the situations where that is not an option. No previous experience is expected and nobody is going to be thrown across the Brubeck Room, but dress comfortably. Shekosky has owned and run Cromwell Martial Arts since 1993, holds a 10th degree black belt in karate, and has been inducted into both the Middletown, Connecticut Sports Hall of Fame and the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Good to know. Free, for ages 14 and up. Registration is required, and walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
