Italian Cooking Class with Marcello

You start with flour and water, and you finish with cavatelli you rolled yourself.

Marcello runs this as a proper hands-on evening rather than a demonstration. The group cooks together, sits down and eats together, and everyone goes home with something to take with them. The menu runs bruschette della zia, his aunt's version with tomato, capers, olives, basil and plenty of olive oil; homemade cavatelli started from nothing but flour and water, half of it served with a simple tomato sugo and half with homemade pesto; and a classic tiramisu to finish. He talks you through every step.

It is pitched at everyone, whether you cook constantly or are mainly there for the food and the company, and most people pick up a few tips either way.
