Splash Ring

This is the jewelry class where the design comes from something that only holds its shape for a fraction of a second.

Students fabricate a sculptural multi-band sterling silver ring inspired by organic forms and natural texture, with a stone set into an artistic splash. The day covers and refines a genuine spread of techniques — sizing, forming, soldering, setting and finishing — on a piece that looks considerably harder than it turns out to be.
