That Motown Band - Home for the Holidays

The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and The Four Tops, wrapped in tinsel for a Sunday afternoon.

That Motown Band brings its Home for the Holidays spectacular to Edmond Town Hall, celebrating the season with soulful renditions of beloved Motown holiday classics alongside the label's biggest hits. It is built for singing and dancing, and it makes a good opening act for the rest of your December.

Joining the band is the legendary Garfield Fleming, a celebrated soul vocalist who spent 25 years with The Delfonics alongside William Hart. He bears a striking resemblance to David Ruffin, but it is his voice that does the time travel, effortlessly channeling Bobby Womack and Ruffin himself. His 1981 single "Please Don't Send Me Away" is still cherished by listeners worldwide.

At the helm is musical director Tom Schizzano, a multi-instrumentalist, arranger and vocalist whose credits include CBS/Paramount, Disney, PBS and NBC/Universal. He has performed live with Hall & Oates, Cyndi Lauper, Lou Christie and Paul Shaffer, and produced and arranged for artists including The Tokens and Jimmy Clanton.

Make an afternoon of it. Beer, wine and concessions are available for purchase throughout the afternoon.

Good to know. Doors at 2 pm for a 3 pm show.
