The Nutcracker Suite

A Nutcracker you can walk to, sitting inside a festival that takes over Main Street for the day.

The dancers of the Newtown Centre of Classical Ballet & Voice perform The Nutcracker Suite, following Clara through the familiar turns of the story with the music to match.

Two performances, at 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm. General admission covers entry to the whole festival plus one showing of the ballet, and you choose which showing. Ballet-only tickets are also sold.

It is part of something larger. The 41st Annual Hometown Holiday Festival runs from 11 am to 4 pm along Historic Main Street, with decorated homes, the Festival of Trees, trolley rides, Santa, shopping and crafts.

Where the money goes. All proceeds from the ballet and the festival go to Newtown Youth & Family Services, for whom this is the largest fundraiser of the year.
