Top of the World: A Carpenters Christmas Show

No tracks, no pickup players, no shortcuts — the same eight-piece band every night, rebuilding those arrangements by hand.

Top of the World is the world's premier tribute to the Carpenters, fronted by Debbie Taylor, whose vocal resemblance to Karen Carpenter captures the warmth, tone and unmistakable contralto quality of the original. Behind her is a company of professional multi-instrumental musicians who tour and perform together as a complete ensemble.

With multiple keyboards and a deep instrument list that runs to saxophone, trumpet and flute, the band meticulously recreates the intricate arrangements and signature sound Richard Carpenter built in the studio. The set covers "Close to You," "We've Only Just Begun," "Rainy Days and Mondays," "Please Mr. Postman," "Yesterday Once More" and many more.

Running alongside the music is a multimedia slideshow of photos and memories from the Carpenters' career, plus stories and behind-the-scenes moments that fill in the picture. Sit back, sing along, and take the nostalgic route through one of the most beloved catalogs in pop.

Make a night of it. Beer, wine and concessions are available for purchase throughout the evening.

Good to know. Doors at 6 pm for a 7 pm show.
