Open to all homeschool students, this six-week course puts young makers at the anvil in Brookfield's Good Forge alongside a professional instructor, working through the traditional techniques — drawing, bending, twisting, punching, slitting and drifting — and finishing real projects rather than exercises. Same course as the morning section, moved to the afternoon.

Good to know. Ages 11 and up. $249 for the six weeks, at the Forge, 290 Whisconier Road, and safety glasses are required. Prices and openings change, so check the registration page before you plan around it.
