Fall Poets & Prophets Wisdom Circle

Fierce courage and tender compassion, in the same room.

This fall's Wisdom Circle at The Meetinghouse reads Mirabai Starr's Wild Mercy: Living the Fierce and Tender Wisdom of the Women Mystics. Starr pulls from women mystics across spiritual traditions and invites people of all genders to rediscover the sacred feminine, not as something soft or sentimental, but as courage and compassion working together.

Each gathering covers a chapter, from cultivating a contemplative life and keeping the Sabbath to community, caring for the Earth, and creativity and the arts. Expect time for reflection, honest conversation, and practices that turn you inward while opening you up to other people, the Earth, and the suffering of the world. The goal is a mercy strong enough to turn into real action.
