Kicking Off the Season at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists: Festive Home 2025

There’s no better way to start feeling merry in Ridgefield than stepping into the Ridgefield Guild of Artists’ Festive Home 2025. Christine and I visited on Preview Night — a sold-out celebration filled with appetizers, holiday drinks, and the warm buzz that only comes from a room full of cheerful neighbors ready to welcome the season.

This year’s theme is Hometown Traditions, and the Guild has truly transformed the gallery. Every room feels like stepping into a cozy holiday dreamscape: tartan plaids, classic textures, warm lights, artist-made décor, and little touches that remind you why this event has become a beloved local tradition.

But my favorite moment of the night was watching Christine discover something that instantly transported her back to childhood: a Tiffany Blue Baby Reindeer — that feels like it was waiting just for her. It was nostalgic, sweet, and exactly the magic that Festive Home brings out every year.

About Festive Home 2025 (as shared by the Ridgefield Guild of Artists)

“Visitors will find a transformed Guild with tartan plaids and a cozy, homey vibe.” The white-washed gallery walls have been turned into a colorful holiday wonderland, with four local designers creating festive vignettes — each one highlighting a talented member artist.

This year, more than 60 artisans are showcasing their work, offering everything from:

• Holiday décor & ornaments

• Knitted accessories

• Pottery & glass works

• Candles & stationery

• Wood pieces

• Jewelry

• Tea towels

• And so much more

Member artists have also donated “Hometown Traditions” small canvases for just $50, along with larger wall art and prints. And, of course, the Guild elves have sourced unique hand-selected items perfect for gifting or decorating.

As they put it:“There’s lots to see and loads of items for gift-giving and decorating, just in time for the holiday season!”

Preview Night Highlights

The event kicked off with a festive Preview Night on Friday, November 14th from 5–7pm. Guests enjoyed holiday music, seasonal drinks, festive bites, and the chance to shop early before the doors open to the public.

Admission is free beginning Nov. 15.

A Ridgefield Tradition for 51 Years

Now celebrating its 51st year, the Ridgefield Guild of Artists has grown from a small gathering of local artists into a thriving community with 350+ members. The Guild is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that hosts exhibitions, classes, special events, and creative opportunities for artists of all ages.
