Ridgefield, Conn.— Get a drink at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC)! On Friday, September 26, History On Tap, our historic site will once again provide a beautiful setting for a night out with friends, family, and colleagues. Sample local beers and liquors from Elicit Brewing Co., Charter Oak Brewing Co., and Litchfield Distillery; listen to live classic and acoustic rock from Bourbon & Britches; and enjoy delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches from Melt Mobile food truck (gluten-free and vegan options available).
In between samples and sandwiches, attendees can explore fun activities across the site. In the Carriage Barn, our interactive exhibition #HandsOnHistory asks you to Please Touch! as you try out historic tools from our collection. Colonial-era games - graces, hoop & stick, badminton, ring toss - are available for friendly competition on the front lawn. And, new this year: attendees will get an exclusive chance to tour our historic tavern museum after dark! Discover what it might've been like to visit T. Keeler's Inn on a fall evening in the 1770s: enter the candlelit taproom and listen to KTM&HC's best storytellers recount a playful take on tavern culture.
All proceeds support KTM&HC's mission-driven work. Tickets include drink tastings, coupons for food, a KTM&HC-branded pint glass, and access to all programming. Members receive a special discounted rate. Proof of current membership is required at time of check-in. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
We hope to see you there! Purchase tickets at keelertavernmuseum.org.
