If your kitchen table is anything like mine, this is the best time of year for Farmers Markets. Local tomatoes, fresh bread, honey from someone who actually keeps the bees down the road. Here is where you come in. We pulled together every farmers market happening across our towns right now, with the days, times, and locations so you can just show up and shop.

Ridgefield Farmers Market

Saturdays, 10am to 2pm.

Runs through October 3, 2026.

Set on the grounds of Jesse Lee Church, right in the middle of Main Street, this producers-only market has farm fresh produce, baked goods, and specialty items alongside live music and family activities. Pack a picnic blanket and come hungry.

Bethel Farmers' Market

Saturdays, 9am to 1pm.

Runs through December 5, 2026.

Held at the beautiful Stony Hill Preserve, Bethel's market has become a real local center for fruit, vegetables, meat, soap, baked goods, and homemade jams and salsas. Every vendor was chosen because they are the best at what they do, so this is a great one to bring a tote bag to.

Brookfield CT Farmers' Market

Fridays, 3pm to 6pm.

Runs through October 17, 2026.

A beloved local tradition since 2019, now run by Brookfield Parks and Recreation, this market draws thousands of visitors each season at Brookfield Town Hall. Expect returning favorites and new vendors like American Dream Coffee Co, Maple Bank Farm, Wave Hill Breads, and Oracle Mushroom Co, plus baked goods, beverages, and handmade items.

Danbury Farmers' Market

Saturdays, 9am to 1pm.

Runs through October 17, 2026. No market August 22 only.

Held at CityCenter Danbury Green, this market is run by the Danbury Farmers' Market Community Collaborative, whose mission is making fresh local food accessible to everyone in the community. Rain or shine, as their eggplant mascot will happily remind you.

New Canaan Farmers Market

Saturdays, 10am to 2pm.

Runs through December 19, 2026.

New location this year. The market has moved to the Lumber Yard Lot near the train station, with CT grown produce, sustainably raised meats and eggs, artisan pastries, pickles, preserves, and live music with weekly themed celebrations. Rain or shine, and it runs all the way into December.

Wilton Farmers Market

Wednesdays, 11am to 3pm.

Runs through October 28, 2026.

Back at the Town Green in the heart of Wilton Center, with local CT farmers, fresh baked goods, seafood, local artists and crafters, and a full lineup of all natural and organic products for home and garden. Note the new hours this season if you have been before.

South Salem Farmers' Market

Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9am to 1pm.

Tucked into the grounds of Gossett Brothers' Nursery, this one is special because it runs nearly year-round. Outdoors among the plants in the warmer months, then inside the greenhouse once winter hits. A cozy find just over the Westchester line.

A Few Notes Before You Go

• Hours and dates can shift with the season, so it is always worth a quick check with the market directly before you head out

• Most of these markets are cash and card friendly, but a little cash never hurts for the smaller vendor tables

• Bring your own bags when you can. The farmers will thank you!

Whether you are stocking up for the week or just want an easy Saturday morning plan with the kids, one of these markets is probably closer than you think. That is the whole point of Community Stroll. You should not have to find out about the good stuff after the season is already over.
